I’m very sad to see Joe go. But it’s impossible to miss the vibe shift.

Getting more excited about Harris and Generic White Guy. Dems actually have quite a few flavors of GWG to pick from: Southern, Gay, Jewish, Grandpa (sry, Walz, you’re adorable but too silver), Gay and Jewish (BTW, Polis has made jokes about this himself, good ones) for the 2024 ticket. All of them got that rizz, and can effectively tell a joke (and lead a state through a pandemic).

This zeitgeist (ha!) shift has been something else to watch, and I’m glad to see it.

That being said….

I’ve now documented **MULTIPLE** national media outlets that *all of a sudden* are writing big, long articles about the U.S. economy and general state of things. BTW, they are really pretty good. Have been for a while.

In fact…they’ve been so good for so long (on a fundamental level), we might actually have some pullback as we finally slow down.

But….that’s not what the media has been saying for a while. Not for years. Yes, we had a massive spike in inflation *AFTER A PANDEMIC* and global supply lines were DESTROYED, and we gave everyone thousands of dollars.

Yup, recipe for some inflation. But it was met with smart policy and massive investment (and some price gouging). The amount of new factories being built domestically is at a record level. Energy production is at a surplus and at record levels. Infrastructure *decade* continues. Massive investments in fighting climate change. Employment is full, ETC, ETC, ETC.

We actually had almost every major road we use upgraded with some of that scratch (grids are fun).

So many things…Biden did that. Biden got us here, and got nothing but knives in the back and mocking for his effort*. Remember W?

Remember how bad W was at *talking*? Biden is still better than that.

Granted, he wasn’t what he used to be and I’m VERY excited to see Kamala debate Donald. So much so that Donald has now backed out of the debates until Obama gives him permission (really, it’s weird, but that’s what he wants).

Anyway, long story short: LFG!

* The outpouring of support for Biden the last few days has felt, to me, a bit..two-sided, shall we say. Like a sword, or dagger. Much of it coming from the same folks doing the backstabbing the days prior, now raising those blades in his honor, the blood still warm.

It is what it is. I understand folks were ready for the change, across the spectrum. I teared up a bit during the speech.

Again, I applaud the Dems and everyone else for doing the organizing work to foil the “open convention” nonsense (not Obama, see Donald’s note re: debates).

Lots more work to do. Let’s have fun doing it.
